Universal Sonic, Continuous Level Transmitter

Overview

Universal Sonic- Two-Wire

Two-wire Ultrasonic Level Transmitter with the best performance and easiest set-up in the industry.

The 505-2400 series Universal Sonic level transmitter offers all the performance of our proven four-wire transmitters in an affordable two-wire design.  The Universal Sonic has an indication meter option, FM and CSA approval.  It reliably measures liquids and slurries to a maximum range of 30 feet.  Developed with Auto-profiling circuitry, the instrument allows a user to routinely ignore vessel obstructions such as ladders, agitators and internal structures without the need for additional user programming or “mapping”.  The UniversalSonic is now offered with an “on-board” four-digit display meter that resides on the transmitter, allowing process level display without adding additional loop resistance.

Universal Sonic- Line Powered

The 505-1100 series ultrasonic level transmitter provides continuous non-contact measurement of liquid level in a vessel. Optional auto-profiling circuitry allows the unit to ignore interfering signals from obstructions in the tank -- no tank mapping required. Calibration can be accomplished in less than 90-seconds (on the bench, or in the field, without power), and the unit can be mounted in a 2" nozzle for measurement to the top of the tank.

Universal Sonic- Open Channel Flow

The 505-1300 series ultrasonic open channel flow transmitter provides non-contact measurement of the flow through various flumes and weirs. The unit features simple 90-second calibrations, field selection of the most popular flumes and weirs and a 4-20 mA output that corresponds to your choice of either flow-rate or level.
