HORSHAM, PA -The DM230 Liquid & Interface Level Sensor from AMETEK Drexelbrook is an explosion proof sensor for Class 1, Div. 1 environments with Modbus RTU digital output (and optional analog output converter) for total level, interface level, temperature and system diagnostics. A wireless interface option is available.
The DM230 utilizes a field-proven magnetostrictive position sensing technology in a unique design that makes it more reliable, easier to install and mount. All of its measurement circuits are integrated into a 5/8" diameter sensing tube. This patented breakthrough design eliminates the need for a bulky electronics enclosure and offers a greater number of options for insertion and mounting on tanks or inside vessels.
The DM230 is available in a rigid 316 Stainless Steel tube with a choice of available mountings. All systems offer totally welded construction. The device meets FM, CSA, ATEX and CE approvals for Class 1, Div.1, Zone 1 Explosion Proof hazardous area installations. Systems include an explosion-proof conduit housing containing a wiring terminal strip and connection for PC configuration software.
The sensor features five temperature elements that are evenly distributed over the span length of its rigid stainless steel tube. Its unique diagnostic output provides float position beyond active range as well as loss of float(s). A variety of floats and mounting accessories are available to fit virtually any application.
